At BarCamp Bangalore...
After staying up for around 48 hours on five cans of Red Bull consumed in the last 24 hours, I finally managed to crash for about 8 hours, wake up at around 10:30 and reach the EGL office at noon. I am at BarCamp Bangalore, yeehaa! Sitting near a power point to be able to charge Alessandra (mobile phone) and Natalie (laptop) anytime.
First and foremost, the atmosphere is much, much more informal here. Hyderabad needs to learn!
Live blogging happening big-time here. Here's my take at it.
[12:20] TaaZZa.com talk. It's about news aggregation.
[12:40] My talk (the same one as the one at BarCamp Hyderabad) is at 3:00 PM in 'Santra'. Let's talk JavaScript, people!
[02:45]
aivalli hijacked my laptop, and
dhempe after that. I'm back, listening to
jace speaking about lessons learnt from the
bangalore community. (Yeah, that's the theme of the talk!)
Was also a part of the Amazon web services discussion, where they were talking about the S3 storage solution. S3 is good stuff, and there were a number of people requesting for a new feature, namely 'the way one can get closer to S3'. Interesting ideas.
[15:40] My talk will happen after
jace's talk. This discussion was totally different from all the techie stuff I am used to.
[16:55] Talk's done with. Not too many people, but it was fun. Currently, Devdas Bhagat's giving a "lightning talk" on Intellectual Property Law.
[15:30] There's this talk about development methodologies to follow in a startup. The speakers say that it should be a mashup of Agile processes, XP etc.
[18:40] Looks like it's end-of-day. Just chilling out, meeting new people, fooling around.
A lot of photographs taken.
